Entries for each purchase include receipt number, name of purchaser and location of land office through which each tract was originally offered for sale (i.e., Kaskaskia, Shawneetown, Edwardsville, Springfield, Quincy, Danville, Dixon). Occasionally included is indication that purchaser was notfiied or that claim "proved up."
